About this event

The Vets & Pets 5K Fun Run is a Marine-led, family-friendly community event that brings together veterans, supporters, and four-legged companions for a morning of movement, connection, and celebration.

Open to all ages and abilities, this event welcomes runners, walkers, strollers, wheelchairs, and leashed dogs. Whether you are running for time, walking with family, or letting your pup set the pace, this is a fun, inclusive 5K designed to honor veterans while creating a positive, high-energy experience for the whole community.

Proceeds from the event will benefit local veteran support initiatives, including programs that pair veterans with pets needing a home and friend, as well as the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home in Boulder City. These programs focus on connection, companionship, and improved quality of life for those who have served.

Participants will receive a race T-shirt, Commemorative Dog Tag, and Swag Bag. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the fun by bringing friends and family and celebrating Marine Corps spirit throughout the event.

The Vets & Pets 5K Fun Run is not just a race. It is a celebration of service, community, and the powerful bond between veterans and their pets. Oorah!
