About this event
You are cordially invited to join us for a fun evening out with the 898th Brigade Engineer Battalion at the Emerald Queen Casino Event Center in Tacoma! Please join us as we come together to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the US Army Engineers, our Soldiers, and our their guests. We'll be enjoying an evening filled with festivities, music, and refreshments. Our Ball will be held on November 1st, 2025 starting at 6pm. 5pm Social hour will begin at 5pm.
This is an 18+ Event, 21+ to drink. Cash/Card Bar available; there will be an alcohol and non-alcoholic grog.
Attire
Formal Military Dress or Black Tie equivalent. (Men: Tux or Dark suit/tie, Women: Mid-length or full-length dresses/jumpsuits). Engineer red bow tie, socks, and suspenders are approved to wear with Formal Military Dress.
Polynesian Buffet Style Meal (included)
Entrees: Pulled Kalua Pork Roasted with Bananas, Grilled Huli Huli Chicken, Ginger Sesame Steamed Swai Fish, Mongolian Beef
Accompaniments: Steamed White Rice, Steamed Vegtable Medley, Assortment of Dinner Rolls and Coconut Sweet Rolls and Butter

- Pay what you can, starting at $40.00 is available. Please don’t allow finances to be a limiting factor if you want to attend!
Ticket Purchasing Information:
Spouse/Guest's tickets are the cost equivalent to the Soldier's rank; Special Guests/Alumni tickets can be purchased equivalent to their rank/discharge rank; for dual service couples, please buy tickets associated with the rank of the individuals occupying the seat.

This is a non-profit event and ticket prices are designed to bring in revenue from ticket sales that break even with event cost. It is important that everyone adheres to the designated price points for tickets to prevent a shortage of funding. We also ask that every Soldier and guest is respectful and responsible during the entirety of the event
