2025 Active Threat Response Conference

Disaster Ready Solutions is hosting our Annual Active Threat Response Conference this year in Warrenville, IL. Presenters include the Deputy Police Chief of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Nick Farese and Commander Scott Byrd from the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department. ITOA President Ed Mohn and Paramedic from Chicago Fire Department Shawn Howd will also present information on Behavioral Indicators of an Active Assailant.

Deputy Chief Nick Farese will present on the October 1 Harvest Festival Shooting, a recent High School shooting and the Tesla Cybertruck explosion at a Las Vegas casino. Nick has numerous unique experiences within a Unified Command structure during significant large scale events and will discuss Lessons Learned. 

Police Commander of Special Operations of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Scott Byrd will discuss the overview during the Covenant High School shooting that occurred in Nashville on March, 27, 2023, the unique circumstances that surrounded this event, and the response by school personnel that shaped the success of this police response.

Join us this year at Hubble Middle School Auditorium for our Active Threat Conference on Friday, June 6th, 2025 from 8am-430pm. Light breakfast and coffee will be provided. 

Continuing Education hours are offered for Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Medical Staff and Educators upon Check-In.
