Fundraiser Benefit for the Butchko Family

Come one, come all to gather in good spirits to honor Andy and support the Butchko Family!

Andy Butchko is a local healthcare hero, a loving husband & father, a dear friend, a talented thespian, an upstanding member of the “315” community and so, so much more. In Andy’s career, he has worked tireless hours as a pediatric registered nurse while also working with the elderly. In his personal life, he has devoted his time to being an amazing father, husband, and friend. In his free time, he dazzled audiences in community theatre, ran in charitable marathons and was simply a joy to be around. 

In late 2020, Andy was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer requiring treatment/clinical trials beyond what was offered locally. Andy temporarily re-located to Texas to receive treatment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Andy had completed the first course of treatment in April of 2021 and was able to return home. Unfortunately, in the fall of 2022 he received the news that the cancer had spread. Andy then re-located again to Texas to receive clinical trial treatment at MD Anderson. Unfortunately, in January of 2023, his health declined. Andy and his family have had to make the heartbreaking decision to transition to Hospice care.

Proceeds from this benefit will go directly to the Butchko family to be used for the numerous financial needs incurred during Andy's heroic battle with cancer.
