The Rotary Club of Ashland is a diverse group of community leaders committed to improving the lives of others both locally and internationally. 

Our annual dinner is our opportunity to showcase our local community service projects and raise funds to support these projects.  Our goal is to raise $30,000 after event expenses to fund these important projects for our upcoming year.  Our local projects include:

• The Rotary Garden:  Our members work together volunteering 550 hours per year and grow over 6,000 lbs. of fresh produce annually for the Ashland Community Food Bank, a resource that helps to increase food security to over 650 people in our community each month.
• Ashland READS:  An annual event that supports early literacy.  Over 200 first graders attend a fun event and get to take home a beautiful hard-covered book chosen by them in May.  We distribute 1500 books to grades 2-3 to encourage summer reading.
• Dolly Parton Imagination Library:  Rotary clubs throughout our region are bringing this national program dedicated to inspiring the love of reading to children in Jackson County. All children up to 5 years old who sign up for the program are provided free books monthly. Funding is shared by the Dolly Parton Foundation and local community partners including the Rotary Club of Ashland.
• Weekend Backpack Project:  Working with ACCESS and Ashland Community Food Bank, we provide nutritional food for the weekend to Ashland students who face food scarcity.  
• Ashland Community Easter Egg Hunt at Lithia Park: Held in Lithia Park since 1957, this beloved tradition is enjoyed by thousands every year. Rotarians dye and hide over 250 eggs and candy for children to find, including golden eggs with prizes.  
• Rotary Youth Exchange: We support local youths by giving them the opportunity to travel abroad and explore different cultures.  We also bring international students to Ashland to explore our community.
• Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA):  Our club sends several high school students each summer to RYLA.  This is a great leadership camp that supports and nurtures our future leaders.  
• Student of the Month: We recognize an outstanding student from Ashland each month.  The students are chosen by their schools.  
• Interact Club at Ashland High School: A school club supported by us to encourage leadership and community service.  
• Rotaract Club at SOU: We support and mentor a leadership club for students that provides them with opportunities to serve their community and develop leadership skills. One of their current projects is to support the unhoused population at SOU.  They also volunteer their time to help with our club’s many service projects.
• Global Service Projects: Our club underwrites international projects in collaboration with Rotary clubs around the world. Recently we have focused on bringing clean drinking water to rural towns near Ashland's sister city of Guanajuato.
