About this event

You are invited to the Sustaining Connections and Seeding What’s Next Gathering!

Purpose: Bring together community partners working in nutrition and active living to honor and reflect on what’s been done, support each other through the shifting landscape, and identify seeds that could grow when opportunities arise.

When: Tuesday, August 19, 2025 --- 9am - 1pm

Registration begins at 8:30am.

Where: Rio Salado College Conference Center, Tempe, AZ

Who should attend: Community partners who are operating or are interested in produce prescription programs, as well as community partners who are working in active living, built environment, or active transportation programs.

Hosted by: Arizona Department of Health Services, AZ CDC SPAN grant

AZ SPAN will share:

  • What we currently know about the federal funding outlook
  • What we have learned about produce prescription programs that are currently operating throughout Arizona
  • An assessment of the physical activity landscape in Arizona
  • The Hierarchy of Physical Activity framework.

We will dedicate time to community connection, allowing attendees to share their current concerns and identify potential challenges and opportunities ahead.
