About this event

Join Kindling Collective and Backcountry Pulse for a weekend of BIPOC-centered wilderness medical training! This course is for Black, brown, and/or Indigenous people who are interested in developing the skills they need to prevent and respond to medical issues in the backcountry. The course will take place over the long weekend at Camp Kieve in Nobleboro, Maine. As a certified WFA, you will have the skills to anticipate risks and hazards, identify medical, traumatic, environmental problems, recognize life-threatening issues, initiate basic care and deliver a cohesive report. Certification awarded after course participation, written and practical examination: Wilderness First Aid with Epinephrine Auto-injector Training.

Registration for this course includes room at board. Participants will be staying on site at Camp Kieve. Kieve will provide meals and lodging to all participants.
