About this event

Please join us for the 2023 Clergy Conference on Monday, May 1 and Tuesday, May 2 at Devens Common Center in Devens, Massachusetts. This year's guest presenter will be the Episcopal Church Staff Officer for Racial Reconciliation Reverend Isaiah Shaneequa Brokenleg (brief bio here) who will lead a program comprising a series of workshops that explore storytelling and the role of narrative in racial healing.

Overnight Accommodations: Your overnight conference registration includes one hotel night. Both single and double rooms are available in your choice of two hotels, Spring Hill Suites by Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn, conveniently located within a short walk to the conference center. Both hotels offer spacious modern accommodations, free parking, WiFi and include breakfast. (For additional amenities please see here.) Additional hotel nights on Sunday April 30th and/or Tuesday May 2nd may be added to your registration.

Registration: This year we are offering a tiered registration fee for clergy with deacons and part-time, associate, non-parochial, and retired clergy receiving a $50 discount on overnight attendance types during the registration period. The registration period ends at noon on Friday April 7th. If you register after April 7th, discounts expire and a late registration fee of $25 will apply.

Free-Time & Leisure Activities: Your hotel has an indoor pool and fitness center. Within 10 miles of the conference center, you can find art and history museums, hiking trails, orchards, a winery, a golf course and more. Stay tuned for opportunities to join special leisure time activities organized by the committee!

FAQs:

May I register directly with the conference hotel?
Diocesan Staff is processing all conference registrations with overnight accommodations on Monday and meals as well as additional optional night stays. Please note: Registering for an additional night in the hotel does not replace conference registration!

If I attend only a portion of the conference, can I get a discounted meal plan?
No. Meals for the conference are included in the registration options. We are unable to provide prorated adjustments based on partial attendance.

I'm planning to commute to the conference but would like to attend the Bishop's Banquet. Can I add the dinnertime meals to my registration?
Of course we would love for you to join us! Registered clergy will be able to add dinner on Monday and/or Tuesday to their registration after main registration period has closed on April 7th.

Can I pay for my registration by check?
Yes! Please email Jennifer Garrett at jgarrett@diomass.org for instructions.

Is clerical attire required?
You probably will feel more comfortable leaving clericals at home. Many tend to dress up a bit for Tuesday evening’s Bishops’ Banquet. Otherwise, dress is casual.

If I cancel my reservation, will I be reimbursed?
Livestream registrations can be cancelled up until the start of the conference without penalty. For overnight conference types by registering, you commit to paying the full amount due. If, however, an extenuating circumstance, e.g., a health or family emergency, forces you to cancel and you notify us within 24 hours of your registration, we will refund your fee in full. After that time, reimbursement for room cancellations is possible only if we are able to transfer your accommodations to another conference attendee.
