The 2024 FDCP is hosted by VIA PAL, a NJ non-profit. 100% of the proceeds go directly to help cancer warriors and their families during treatment and recovery and to our scholarship program. VIA PAL is a 501C3 non-profit organization. Please visit viapal.org for more information.
The Festival da Cultura Portuguesa is a premier Portuguese festival, geared towards Luso–American families with participation from Portuguese social and community organizations. We strive to make a difference in the community by increasing pride in traditions, exposing the community to up and coming Portuguese musical talent, teaching the youth about Portuguese Folklore, heritage, recreation, and overall goodwill among-st the community.
In partnership with: PISC (Elizabeth), Long Branch Portuguese Club, South River Portuguese Club, Portuguese Sporting Club (Perth Amboy), Sport Clube Portugues (Newark), Portuguese Cultural Association (Kearny), & CRC Portuguese American Community Center (Harrison).
Perfomances feature: DJ Corisco | Rancho Raízes de Portugal de South River | Fado with Sandy Batista, David DeMelo, Pedro H Silva, & Abel Lima | Aristides Romeiro | David DeMelo Band, and other surprises.
Activities all day long! Bike Run, Motorcycle Run, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Futebol Field, Kids' Arts & Crafts, Face-Painting, and loads of Games and Activities for the whole family and so much more!

Celebrate the Food of Portugal! The festival will be filled with the smoky aromas of char-grilled and barbecued delicacies along with a variety of traditional Portuguese savory dishes and sweets. And of course, we won't forget the delicious Portuguese wines, beer and sangria.
