About this event
The Good News Gardens Network of Massachusetts in partnership with the Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy is pleased to invite you to a screening of the acclaimed documentary film Kiss the Ground, in which a revolutionary group of activists, scientists, farmers, and politicians band together in a global movement of "Regenerative Agriculture" that could balance our climate, replenish our vast water supplies, and feed the world.
This inspiring and groundbreaking film reveals the first viable solution to our climate crisis ─ that regenerating the world’s soil and drawing down atmospheric carbon, is the missing piece of the climate puzzle. Through regenerative agriculture, we can completely and rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems and create abundant food supplies. Using compelling graphics and visuals, along with striking NASA and NOAA footage, the film artfully illustrates the research, practice, and hope we need to move forward. Together.
Kiss the Ground is positioned to catalyze a movement to accomplish the impossible – to solve humanity’s greatest challenge, to balance the climate and secure our species future. Watch the trailer here.
Curious about how farmers are responding to climate change in our community? Find out what regenerative agriculture looks like on the ground (5:00 p.m. farm tour with John Belcher, Assistant Farm Manager, Wright-Locke Farm), and how you can support local food producers in addressing climate change in a post screening discussion (7:30 p.m.) with Rachel Field (Good News Gardens of MA Coordinator, Farmer/owner Heartberry Hollow Farm) and Erika Gorgenyi (Executive Director, Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy). Learn how to implement regenerative techniques into your own farms, backyards, community gardens, and beyond.
The Good news Gardens Network of MA and Wright-Locke Farm are committed to providing opportunities to learn and participate in the food system regardless of economic status. If the registration fee is a barrier to your attendance, please contact us for a complimentary ticket.
