Join us in celebrating Dia dos Namorados, Brazil's "Lovers Day", with Jose Gobbo's unique blend of bossa nova and contemporary jazz.

Celebrate Brazilian Lovers' Day with the Jose Gobbo Trio at the AYDesign Art Gallery. The trio will perform a charming set of new original music from their latest album "CURRENT", with lyrics provided by Deuler Andrade. 

Jose Gobbo, a Brazilian jazz guitarist based in Iowa City, will lead the trio. He completed his doctoral degree in 2020 and has performed extensively with various groups. Jose has also been recognized for his talent, being a finalist at Chicago's Luminarts Jazz Competition and a semi-finalist at Milwaukee's Wilson Center Guitar Competition. He is an experienced teacher and currently teaches at Eastern Illinois University and the Arthur School District.
