KITCHENER-WATERLOO-CAMBRIDGE: The Gazan Community Iftar is a warm gathering in the holy month of Ramadan dedicated to honouring, welcoming and standing beside our Gazan neighbours who have recently arrived in our community after surviving genocide. This evening is about breaking bread and building real relationships rooted in dignity, solidarity and collective responsibility. Starting life in a new country means navigating isolation, language barriers, unfamiliar systems and the immense weight of rebuilding after loss.
Through this gathering, we aim to strengthen community ties and connect Gazan families with meaningful resources, opportunities and support networks that can help them secure stability, belonging and a future.
