Moyaone Mayfest in Accokeek Maryland

Come out the Moyaone Reserve in Piscataway National Park to celebrate the 5th Annual Moyaone Mayfest.

This a free event with Morris Dancing, Singing, Maypole Dancing and special guests performing tradtional Irish music.

Order of main events

• 1:45 Line up for the Processional - Sing a few songs

• 2:00 Processional 

• 2:10ish Morris Dancing - watch The Foggy Bottom Morris Men as they dance ancient dances

• 2:45 Dance around the Maypole

• Tea, lemonade and cakes!

• Field Games 

• 3:30 - The Irish Irregulars:  Jesse Winch (Piano and Guitar), Mitch Fanning (Fiddle), Dave Abe (Fiddle), Martin McCann (Flute) and Axel Naar (Bodhran)

  • Moyaone Mashers Beer, BYOB, listen to great music while the Woodfired Pizza Oven warms up!

This is a free event, donations for the musicians welcome.  

What to bring: 

• Pizza makings - Dough, sauce, toppings etc. 

• Beverages of your choosing

• Potluck food items to share

Come early and bring a picknic lunch and walk along to the Potomac and view Mt. Vernon from National Colonial Farm - at 3400 Bryan Point Road.
