About this event
Limited Ticket Event – Mother’s Day Brunch & Sanctuary Tour
Come celebrate Mother’s Day in a way that feels truly special.
Join us for a beautiful morning at Broken Shovels Farm Sanctuary, surrounded by rescued animals, good food, and meaningful connection. Whether you’re celebrating a mom, bringing your family, or taking time for yourself, this is a day designed to feel joyful, grounding, and memorable.
Enjoy a delicious brunch from Wong Way Veg and our now-famous MOM-osa bar (food and drinks available for purchase), and spend your time wandering through the sanctuary, meeting the animals, and connecting with their stories.
You’ll have access to select pens and pastures, where you can meet the residents who call Broken Shovels home. Our caretakers will be nearby to introduce you and share more about each animal’s journey—from rescue to healing.
This is not just a visit—it’s an opportunity to slow down, connect, and spend time with some of the most gentle and resilient beings in Colorado.
A beautiful experience for all ages.

Visitor Guidelines
Broken Shovels Farm Sanctuary is a refuge for animals rescued from neglect, hoarding, abandonment, and slaughter. We do not breed, sell, or use animals. Occasionally, animals arrive pregnant, and those families are able to stay together here for life.
This is not a petting zoo. While many of the animals enjoy gentle interaction, they are individuals with their own needs, boundaries, and preferences.
You are a guest in their home. We ask that you move slowly, speak softly, and treat each animal with respect. If an animal chooses not to engage, please honor that.
Some animals are in active recovery or long-term medical care. Our team works closely with veterinary professionals to provide individualized treatment plans. If you have questions, we are always happy to share more about their care.
Please follow all posted guidelines to help keep both animals and guests safe and comfortable.
