2ND ANNUAL MISS NC PLUS AMERICA PAGEANT 2023 COMPETITION

Join us on SATURDAY, March 18, to see WHO will be crowned as the new MRS/MS/MISS NC PLUS AMERICA! And for the first crown the MISS-TEEN, MISS PRE-TEEN and LITTLE MISS Plus America Queen!

The 2nd Annual Miss NC Plus America Pageant 2023 will be filled with lots of wonderful elements that you won’t want to miss! Vendors will be available for your shopping pleasure as early as 11am. Check our website for the list of vendors you will have the opportunity to shop with during this event.

The NC Plus Pageant will kick off with the preliminary presentations at 1:30pm - 3:30pm with the OPTIONAL COMPETETION which includes those delegates who choose to compete in the TALENT, SPOKESMODEL, COVERGIRL, MOST PHOTOGENIC, and ESSAY categories.

Then, at 6:30pm-9pm the Final Competition will begin with the of the MRS/MS/MISS/MISS-TEEN delegates competing in the ELEGANT PANTSWEAR, EVENING GOWN and ON-STAGE QUESTION. Special competition categories will happen for our Miss Pre-Teen and Little Miss contestants.

We are even more excited to introduce a new Community Service Award to our state pageant system that celebrates our heart to SHOW LOVE to the Plus-size women in OUR COMMUNITIES!!

To best ensure the safety of the campus community and the public, and to expedite entry into venues, Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has adopted a clear bag policy. The policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into venues at WSSU.

 Approved items include: 

·         Bags that are clear plastic vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12 inches in height, by 6 inches in depth and 12 inches in width.

·         One gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

·         Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

Purses larger than a clutch bag

·         Coolers

·         Briefcases

·         Backpacks, cinch bags or fanny packs

·         Luggage

·         Computer bags/camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Exceptions will be granted for medically necessary items, working personnel and media. However, all attendees are strongly encouraged to place items in a clear bag for easier entry. These exceptions will enter through designated gates/doors (identified in advance) and be subject to screening and/or bag inspections.
