About this event
2026 New Shared Mobility Summit
Change Happens Together.
Too many people lack access to safe, reliable, and affordable ways to get around their communities. Changing that requires more than better policy or better technology. It requires people who trust each other, share a vision, and are willing to act together. The 2026 New Shared Mobility Summit, hosted by the Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC), is a curated national gathering designed to build exactly that.
Taking place September 9-11, 2026 in Chicago, IL, the New Summit brings together Change Leaders organized into regional Change Teams from across the United States. These cross-sector coalitions of 8-12 leaders from cities, transit agencies, community organizations, philanthropy, and advocacy come together to build deep trust, align on strategy, and commit to action for people-centered mobility. Through pre-event virtual workshops, two and a half days of collaborative in-person sessions, and a post-event workshop, teams leave with real relationships and real momentum. Building on the energy of the 2025 inaugural cohort, which included Change Teams from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Fresno, Greater Michigan, Twin Cities, Los Angeles, and Seattle, the 2026 Summit continues SUMC's mission to invest in the people who change systems.
