Join the Pollard Memorial Library Foundation's Annual Author night event with Casey Sherman, an American author, journalist and screenwriter. He has written 17 books, including A Rose for Mary:The Hunt for the Real Boston Strangler, The Last Days of John Lennon, 12:The Inside Story of Tom Brady’s Fight for Redemption, Helltown:The Untold Story of A Serial Killer on Cape Cod, A Murder in Hollywood:The Untold Story of Tinseltown's Most Shocking Crime, and due out in April is Blood in the Water:The Untold Story of a Family Tragedy.
Three of Sheman’s books have been made into major motion pictures, Boston Strong:A City’s Triumph Over Tragedy, Hunting Whitey, and The Finest Hours:The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard's Most Daring Sea Rescue.
A graduate of Boston University, he is also a contributing writer for Esquire, Time, The Washington Post, and Boston Magazine.
This event celebrates and honors Matt Fitzpatrick, a Foundation member who initiated the Meet the Author series for the Pollard Memorial Library, which is named for his maternal grandfather, former Lowell mayor Samuel S. Pollard. Matt passed away in December, 2024, and is deeply missed by his library friends and colleagues.
