The route leaves Linden, then passes through the towns of Farmington and Peters in San Joaquin County. Apple, cherry, peach, pear, plum and walnut orchards, and vineyards abound. A fully stocked rest stop provides fuel and hydration midway through the ride. Entry fees include detailed route sheets and maps thanks to RouteArrows; pre-ride tech support courtesy of Alton Stevens; fuel and hydration at Farmington Fire Protection District; support and gear (SAG) along the routes; radio communications; and a delectable post ride meal catered by De Vinci’s Ravioli Factory-Linden. The metric century leaves Linden and traverses the quiet back roads of San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Calaveras counties, including a portion of Stage Three of the 2011 Tour of California. The towns of Linden, Peters, Farmington, Eugene, Milton, Jenny Lind and Bellota await you; almond, apple, cherry, peach, pear, plum and walnut orchards, and vineyards abound. Two rest stops and a lunch stop provide fuel and hydration along the way.

About this event

The Stockton-Delta Amateur Radio Club invites you to the 16^th Pedaling Paths to Independence to benefit Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired on Saturday, February 25, 2025. A great ride on ANY bike–road, tandem, mountain, single speed, recumbent, Bike Friday, fixed gear, cruiser, high wheel, hybrid, unicycle–the metric (65 miles with 1,400 feet of elevation gain) and quarter (25 miles with 300 feet of elevation gain) century routes begin and end at DeVinci’s Ravioli Factory and Restaurant (18847 East Front Street, Linden) and traverse the quiet rural roads of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Calaveras counties, through verdant pastures, orchards, and vineyards.

Riders may check‑in at DeVinci’s and ride any time between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.; everyone must be on the course by 10:00 a.m. Fees ($65 for the metric century, $50 for the quarter century) include pastoral scenery, maps and route sheets courtesy of RouteArrows, radio communications provided by the Stockton-Delta Amateur Radio Club, Support and Gear (SAG) for the entire course with dedicated call-in number and fully stocked rest stops. Of course, riders and guests will end the day with a scrumptious post ride meal catered by DeVinci’s Ravioli Factory and Restaurant.

Riders must be at least 16 years of age or accompanied by an adult registered for the ride. Each rider must sign a waiver at the event. Help spread the word about the event by sharing and inviting your friends on social media.
