Event Description

You are invited to the Iraqi and American Reconciliation Project's annual intercultural and interfaith Ramadan Iftar Dinner. Join us for an iftar meal as we break fast and learn more about the Islamic holy month of Ramadan together. All are welcome.

Hear from special speakers *Director of the Critical Needs Support Foundation in Iraq, Ammar Khamees* Imam Wafiq Fanoon*

Iftar is the evening meal at sunset when Muslims end their daily fast during Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of prayer, fasting, and charity-giving to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad. Fasting during Ramadan is one of the "five pillars" of Islam, and is performed to learn compassion, self-restraint, and generosity.
