Fruit from the Bach Family Tree

Our beloved patron saint, JS Bach, was just one of about 40 Bach-family musicians, from five generations. We are holding a family reunion by celebrating the works of seven of his talented relatives, from his grandfather's brother, down through three of JS's children—composers spanning two centuries!

These works show an astonishing range of musical styles, textures, and moods. Special guests will be two stars of the Bay Area's baroque music scene: William Skeen, cello, and Arthur Omura, organ; they will contribute some of JS's solo organ, solo cello, and accompanied suites, sonatas, and partitas. Please join us in sampling the delicious fruit from this amazing tree!
