About this event

Please join us for a private screening of Giants Rising! and  a journey into the heart of America’s most iconic forests to explore the secrets, superpowers and saga of the redwoods—the tallest and some of the oldest living beings on Earth.

Through the voices of biologists, artists, Native communities, and others, together we will discover the scientific wonders of redwoods, our deep cultural ties to them, and the efforts underway to help these iconic forests overcome the legacy of logging that nearly wiped them out. It’s a tale that offers the promise of solutions that will help us ALL rise up to face the challenges that lay ahead.

Presented in conjunction with Sustainable St. Helena--supporting our very own Community Forest here in St. Helena--this special screening of Giants Rising! will be followed by a discussion with film-maker Lisa Landers and St. Helena Community Forest founder Paul Asmuth, moderated by naturalist and Napa County Supervisor, Amber Manfree.

General Admission is $10.  But you can become a Friend of the Forest by paying $25.

There will also be multiple opportunities for YOU to support the Community Forest here in St. Helena, through donations, a silent auction, and helping to spread the word.

We hope you can join us.   But, if you can't, please consider a tax-deductible donation to Sustainable St. Helena and help ensure our Community Forest continues to grow.
