Dear 1971 Class of Sam Houston High School

Believe it or not, it is time for our 50^th Reunion and Celebration! 

When:  Saturday, September 18^th, 2021

Time:    6pm – 10pm

Where: American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum

             4601 Hwy 360

             Fort Worth, TX  (near Hwy 360/183 – north Arlington)

• • At the check-in table, we will scan guests with a noncontact infrared forehead thermometer

  • Masks and Hand-sanitizer will be available at the check-in table and various points in the museum

• Savory Hors D’oeuvres and Open Bar - served in the Museum hanger under the wings of the DC3 Flagship Knoxville

*** Class President, Rick South is hosting the Open Bar (3 drink coupons)    Subsequent drinks will be Cash Bar

• Full access to Museum including Flight simulators, all exhibits and walk aboard the DC3 aircraft
• Big Sam Bell will be onsite in the parking lot near the entrance from 5:30p-9:30p.
• Professional photographer, Paul Knudsen will take pictures throughout the evening and a class group photo. He will provide link for photos free of charge.
• Video Presentation in the Museum theatre with photos from high school days, past reunions, and “We Remember Thee” finale as we honor classmates we have lost.

• DEADLINE to RSVP and pay by credit card is Friday, September 17th.

~~  Class of 1971 SHHS Scholarship  ~~

The Reunion committee is pleased to announce the decision to establish a one-time scholarship from the Class of 1971.

The goal is to support a graduating senior from Sam Houston High School who has demonstrated academic and extracurricular success, who can demonstrate financial need and wishes to pursue a higher education at a college/university or an accredited trade school.

We are gathering items for a raffle to be held the evening of the reunion. Proceeds from the raffle and any donations you wish to share, will be used to support our class endeavor.

If you are unable to attend and wish to donate for the scholarship, please send donations to the following classmate and designate "Scholarship Donation" in your correspondence.

We sincerely hope to see you in September!
