About this event
KRAV MAGA SELF-DEFENSE & SAFETY CLASS
Come by yourself or feel free to buy tickets for your 13+ year old daughters or your 16+ year old sons.
Amit Z. Baruch has a unique background and skill set that enables him to speak from authority and offer real safety solutions. He is an expert-level hand-to-hand combat instructor—training civilians, law enforcement and executive protection teams in Krav Maga, the close-quarter battle system of the Israeli military. Amit is one of roughly 100 civilian instructors nationwide who are certified through Krav Maga Worldwide (TM) to teach defensive tactics to law enforcement personnel. He previously worked as part of a security and operations detail for the Israeli government, where he trained in executive protection, facility security, self-defense and martial arts.
Amit is also an award-winning public speaker with a magnetic, inspirational and humorous approach. He blends these two facets of his life to teach practical safety, awareness and self defense skills to people of all ages and walks of life.
Amit is a firm believer that “an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure”. It is his personal mission to instill in his students an understanding of violence and danger, while providing them with reality based training to help avoid and escape these threats. Trainers often speak in generalities, advising people to “trust their gut,” for example. Amit uses true stories and personal experiences to illustrate and demonstrate exactly how to put such wisdom into practice. He also teaches the hands-on physical self-defense skills he hopes his students will never need to utilize.
If you would like to purchase a ticket for your 13+ year old daughter and/or 16+ year old son, please feel free to include them. Age limit is set by the instructor.
Tickets are discounted from Amit's normal fee. All proceeds benefit sending 13 women to Israel in October.
