South Fulton Arts presents Connect: A Playreading Series featuring Tiny Beautiful Things by Nia Vardalos, directed by Jennifer Bauer-Lyons.

Doors open at 7PM for a 7:30PM start time. Stick around after the reading for a community talkback facilitated by Tiffany Russell.

Synopsis: When Cheryl is asked to take over the unpaid, anonymous position of advice columnist under the moniker “Sugar,” the struggling writer uses empathy and her personal experiences to help those seeking guidance for obstacles both large and small. Tiny Beautiful Things is a play about reaching when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken, and finding the courage to take on the questions that have no answers. Inspired by real questions and answers that "Sugar" published online from 2010 to 2012. Based on the bestselling book by Cheryl Strayed, and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos

Connect is a play-reading series that is part of SFA's larger Courageous Conversations programming. Professional actors read the script of a play that discusses moving topics at venues across South Fulton County. We invite the community to participate by listening to the actors read the script and have a facilitated talk back to discuss the main issues in the play with a subject matter expert facilitating the conversation; our previous facilitators have included Dr. Tiffany Russell, Kristin Couch, LMSW, Gender-based Violence Practitioner and Curtis King and Garry Yates, Co-Founders of Reentry Arts Connection.
