Treasures at Cedar Grove
Benefitting the Lake Norman Lucky Cat Program
Presenting Sponsors: Lake Norman Realty, Giving With Grace, HEARTS Collaborative, and Treasures at the Lake
Join us for “Treasures at Cedar Grove,” a distinctive and impactful afternoon fete’ benefiting the non-profit, Lake Norman Lucky Cats, to be held at the historic brick Greek Revival landmark, Cedar Grove, at 8229 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We have air-conditioning!
"Treasures at Cedar Grove" will showcase exquisite estate jewelry, vintage costume jewelry, unique designer pieces, and a diverse collection of vintage and designer accessories, including handbags, scarves, and trinkets for sale, all generously contributed by supporters of Lucky Cats. In addition, toys and cat-related items will be available for purchase, too. All proceeds are dedicated to the welfare of community cats and Lucky Cats’ community cat trap/neuter/return program. An online silent auction is planned to complement this event, featuring fine jewelry and event tickets for Biltmore House and the Carolina Panthers.
Donations of valuable items are graciously accepted until July 24th at Lake Norman Realty’s Cornelius Office, located at 20117 West Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, NC 28031.
Admission tickets for "Treasures at Cedar Grove" are $25 and include signature artisan-crafted cocktails and mocktails, the pear-flavored Purr-tini and the Paw-tini, featuring native paw-paw fruit, in addition to self-guided tours of the private historic landmark, Cedar Grove. Next door to Cedar Grove, the Hugh Torance House and Store, the oldest standing store in NC, will also be open and offers docent-led historic tours of the 1779 historic site. Advance registration for tours is recommended; free tickets are available at www.hught.org.
Treasures on the Lake owner Kimball Lawrence is providing his expertise in the assessment and descriptions of the donated treasures. Treasures at the Lake is a boutique jewelry retailer specializing in estate jewelry in Cornelius. Together with presenting sponsors Lake Norman Realty, HEARTS Collaborative, and Giving with Grace, 100% of all proceeds for this event will have a direct impact on improving the lives of community cats in our region. The link to the online auction will be released on August 3, 2025.
Through dedicated volunteers and generous donors, the Lucky Cat program has transformed the lives of cats for more than 20 years. Through spay/neuter and ongoing care, Lucky Cats stops the breeding cycle and impactfully reduces cat and kitten euthanasia in shelters. Through partnering with local rescue groups, kittens and friendly unowned cats found through TNR endeavors are removed for adoption whenever possible.
