Monique Lapins is Associate Concertmaster of the Auckland Philharmonia. From 2016 to 2024 she was a member of the New Zealand String Quartet and a lecturer at the New Zealand School of Music - Te Kōkī.

She has toured internationally, performed at festivals across Europe, Asia, and Oceania, and is a recording artist with the Naxos and Rattle labels. Monique has also worked with the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in Japan and has been a member of the Ghost Trio since its inception in 2019.

She plays an 1883 Gand violin on loan from the Rin Collection.
