The Yorkton Sports Hall of Fame 2024 Inductions and 30th Anniversary Celebrations

We are honoured to be celebrating four individuals and one team this year: 

• Lori Pollock, athlete/builder, synchronized swimming

• Michael Forster, athlete/builder, martial arts

• Nicole Nagy, athlete, figure skating

• Ed Zawatsky, athlete/builder, hockey

• 1998 Yorkton Expos Midget Baseball team

Our guest speaker for this special 30th anniversary induction is Dennis Polonich, who played for the Detroit Red Wings for 12 seasons. He retired as a player in 1987, and was immediately named the general manager and coach of the Yorkton Terriers, where he led the team for six seasons winning an SJHL championship and Anavet Cup.

Master of ceremonies is Curt Keilback, who started his broadcasting career in Yorkton and went on to call the play-by-play for 2,400 NHL games of the Winnipeg Jets and Phoenix Coyotes.

Gallagher Centre on Saturday, September 7 at 5 pm.  Program and Inductions start at 6:30 pm.

There will be a reception with a light meal and a no-host / cash bar.
