Abilities Dance is proud to premiere Branches, a virtual only production highlighting the intersections of disability justice and climate justice. This dancer led production features work mainly by the dancers/choreographers of Abilities Dance in this collective mosaic spanning different cities, themes, and identities. These themes include eco-anxiety, water crisis in Mississippi and other black and brown communities and the bodily impact, and more. Choreographers Dara Capley, Leslie Freeman, Kylie Kean, Claire Lane, Lauren Sava, Krishna Washburn, and Ellice Patterson have been working with Abilities dancers to create content online to reduce carbon footprint while still showig for those of us still quarantining that high quality work can be achieved online. Composer Erin Rogers has created musical scores to compliment the work. We look forward to sharing this showcase with you!
