Ramadan Community Meal and Gathering

Curious about Ramadan? Want to learn more about the traditions of Islam? Or simply share a meal in community? Join us for a warm and welcoming evening at the Ramadan Community Iftar at the Keweenaw Storytelling Center. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar — a time of fasting, reflection, prayer, and community connection. Muslims fast from dawn to sunset and gather to break their fast during Iftar. This event is open to everyone — whether you are Muslim or simply interested in learning and building bridges in our community.

This program is presented by the MTU Muslim Student Association with support from the Elaine Bacon Literacy Program and Wellness Cafe and the Keweenaw Community Foundation.
