About this event
Noye’s Fludde is a one-act opera that recounts the story of Noah’s Ark. The opera was written with young performers and young audiences in mind. The composer intended the piece to be performed in a church space instead of a theatre space.
The text was based on the 15th century Chester “mystery” play with the addition of three congregational hymns, the Greek prayer Kyrie eleison as a children’s chant, and an Alleluia chorus. It is also a work written for mixed professional and amateur performers, including children.
