About this event

Join instructor and EAG Member Dorít Elena K. for a fun workshop that will introduce students to the basic movements that cover the social dance and art form of Middle Eastern dance. 
 
This workshop is appropriate for all ages, genders, and abilities. The movements range from relaxed and flowing to percussive and sharp and they can all be adjusted to preference and ability. By the end of the class, everyone will have a few movements they can use when hearing basic Arabic rhythms. 
 
Dorit has taught and performed Middle Eastern Dance and music for 25 years. She has performed at a variety of venues worldwide including Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Teatro Manzoni, The Ladino Music Festival, and many more. As a master teacher she has taught all ages and abilities at dance studios, universities, and cultural centers around the world.
 
This class will take place in-person at Guild Hall. Space is limited. Registration is required.
