Boetry in Motion

Boetry in Motion @Phizzfest May 13th

Boetry in Motion will raise intercultural awareness and sow solidarity by showcasing the voices of refugees sharing their poems and songs from a boat on the Royal Canal at the Phizzfest 2022. A fleet of barges will sail into Phizzfest with these poets and musicians on board to perform first on the canal from 6 – 8 pm - this is a fee event.

The tickets get you into the Bernard Shaw for more spoken word and live music with Soul Shadows and other guests from 8 – 11 pm. This event is being run by local charity Intercultural Language Service* (ILS), which has been providing free language & integration training for refugees for over six years in Ballybough. This will hopefully help raise much needed funds and recruit volunteers to deal with the growing demand for our services. SOme of the poetry and some of the music will be delivered by the students of ILS.
