About Swing for the Stars

Swing for the Stars is a Charity Fight Night Event founded by Tiger Schulmann’s . This event will give our students with special needs the opportunity to become professional fighters for the night! They will be walking out into the ring in front of a packed-out crowd to face off against their favorite Professional Tiger Schulmann’s fighter. The exhibition will be in either kickboxing or MMA format, depending on the fighter, and will put their skills and bravery to the test against some of the World’s best! The organization is so proud of all the hard work these students have put in over the years and is excited to watch them shine.

About Tiger Schulmann’s

Established in 1984 by Daniel "Tiger" Schulmann, Tiger Schulmann's Martial Arts is the largest martial arts school in the US. The Otto Specht School offers differentiated learning opportunities uniquely crafted to meet the needs of students with developmental delays, social and sensory sensitivities, and learning challenges.

Our K - 12 programming takes advantage of our spacious and beautiful campus, which includes forests, streams, fields, farms, and an integrated and vibrant community. We offer an individualized Waldorf Curriculum, and emphasize the healing nature of the great outdoors, movement, art, and music. The Otto Specht School provides a place where all students are accepted and where students are not defined by their disabilities but are shaped by overcoming challenges.

The Otto Specht School is committed to serving students based on their educational and therapeutic needs and to ensuring equal access to students regardless of their socioeconomic status. To this end, we have established the Otto Specht School Fund for the Accessibility and Affordability of Education. The fund provides tuition assistance and full or partial tuition deferrals for qualifying families. We are grateful for this partnership with Tiger Schulmann’s. The funds raised with this event will go a long way in helping more students reach for the stars at Otto Specht School.
