About this event

Join us to celebrate the new life and hope brought on by Spring. You’ll hear the powerful work, Soul Force, by American composer Jessie Montgomery, which portrays a voice fighting to be heard under the weight of oppression. The piece marches forward, growing in strength until it cannot be stopped and is triumphant. We will also feature Springtime in the Stars by local Seattle composer/SFO cellist Matt Weiss. The second half of the concert will feature Tchaikovsky’s ecstatic first piano concerto with Edwin Hsu at the keyboard!

Our Family Friendly performance on Saturday, May 13th will feature a shortened program to keep it engaging for the kids. To maintain a shortened program, the Liszt will be performed Sunday only, not Saturday. If you are excited for the full impact, join us on Sunday, May 14th - visit our website for more info.
