About this event
What is the Legacy Loop?: The Legacy Loop is the realization of General William J. Palmer's vision for a beautiful greenway for the residents and guests of Colorado Springs to enjoy. The project is creating a ~10 mile fully-connected urban trail that is nearly complete!

What to expect: We will start the ride from the TOSC office at 702 East Boulder, and riders will travel approximately 10 miles, with multiple short breaks for interpretive spots along the route. The surfaces will range from paved trails to hard-packed dirt trails and a short stretch of rougher dirt and rocks.
There is ample parking in the lot behind our two house-offices and along El Paso Street.
Please plan on arriving by 3:45pm in order to get your bike and self sorted for a 4:00pm departure!
During the ride, we'll stop periodically to take in historical, artistic, or infrastructure elements including the old bed frame from the flood of 1885! You will also get a behind-the-scenes look at several of the projects that have improved trail connectivity and enhanced safety along the 'Loop in 2024 & 2025.
This is a fun, enjoyable tour of TOSC advocacy in action, coming to life!
What to bring: Please bring a bicycle in good repair, one with wider tires would be best as we'll be on multiple surfaces (paved and unpaved). Helmets are required and you should wear appropriate footwear to allow for the occasional short stretch of walking. Sunscreen, water, and snacks as needed for a 3 hour tour.
