About this event
They weren’t supposed to succeed. They changed everything anyway.
Come hear an hour of remarkable sidewalk stories about locals whose struggles, triumphs, and contributions defied societal norms and odds to leave an indelible mark on the course of history.
In under a mile we cover a century of re-written narratives. Witness a suffragette’s unbelievable battle and a Chinese woman’s historical contribution after struggling against the misogyny of the 1930s. Learn of a Japanese man’s fight against racism during WWII (there is joy, too!), and meet a queer man whose medical breakthroughs changed the course of history.
Four people. One mile. Sixty minutes that will forever change the way you see Corvallis.
We'll launch from the temperature-controlled lobby of the Courtyard Marriott - 1st & Adams. The total route is just under a mile with lots of protection from the sky along the way. We look forward to sharing these stories with you!
