"According to the Best of his Recollection": A Unique Immersive Experience
About this event
Join us for an exclusive opportunity to walk where a young George Washington’s life was “in as much jeopardy as it had ever been before or since.”
George Washington’s Friendly Fire Incident site had been lost to the pages of history, but recently was rediscovered by the team at Fort Ligonier and Juniata College through extensive research and archaeology. Learn about this crucial moment in history and a glimpse into Washington’s life in 1758 by walking the same ground where this happened with one of Fort Ligonier’s expert historians.
Cost: $75.00 per person.
This is a 90-minute experience. Experience limited to 10 people per date. All participants must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in advance to attend.
Dress for the weather. Good walking shoes and outdoor clothing are recommended. Participants will meet at Fort Ligonier before being taken to the Friendly Fire Incident site.
