About this event
The Contra Costa Chorale presents their spring program, "The Eras: The Contra Costa Chorale Celebrates 60 Years of Song" on Friday, May 8 at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley, and on Sunday, May 10 at 4:00pm at the Orinda Community Church.
The Contra Costa Chorale, led by artistic director Dr. Brad Schultz and collaborative keyboardist Christopher Alexander, presents our spring concerts in celebration of 60 years of community and song. Tracing our history from our founding as the Richmond Symphony Chorus to today, we will cover musical highlights from each of the eras, including music by Franz Joseph Haydn, Johannes Brahms, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Morten Lauridsen, Joan Szymko, and many others. This concert will also feature a premiere performance of “Let Children Walk in Nature,” by local composer Justin Trujillo. Justin was one of the first to receive a scholarship from the Chorale upon graduation from Pinole High School. He recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from Sacramento State University. Mark your calendars now to join us for this celebration and musical retrospective.
