Jackson Crash depicts the tumultuous journey of a young man wrestling with the fallout from early trauma as he seeks found family to help him discover and stay grounded in his authentic self. We follow Jackson through clubbing, trucking, running from inner demons, failing at family, getting lost and coming home -- all propelled by a pulse-pounding, irresistible electronic score.
With irreverent humor and exquisite vulnerability, Jackson resonates for audience members feeling different, unknown, inadequate, and disconnected -- whether from the trauma of marginalization and abuse -- or the limitations of early caregivers and environments. At the same time, his story ignites hope that it is possible to find relationships/communities to embrace you for who you are.
Jackson Crash shows audiences how key relationships and communities can serve as safe containers for self-exploration and healing, and function as found family who can embrace and celebrate your authentic self.
