About this event

The Contra Costa Chorale presents their fall program, "Let America Be America Again" on Friday, December 4 at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley, and on Sunday, December 6 at 4:00pm at the Orinda Community Church.

The Contra Costa Chorale, led by artistic director Dr. Brad Schultz and collaborative keyboardist Christopher Alexander, presents our fall concerts in celebration of 60 years of community and song and the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The repertoire includes poetry and musical influences from the timeless words of Langston Hughes and the Harlem Renaissance. “This music is an invitation for all of us to consider not just who we have been as a nation, but who we might yet become together in the future,“ said Brad Schultz. “My hope is that by listening to these iconic works, our community will experience a renewed sense of shared responsibility and find a space for reflection together.”
