Join Ocean State Kids (OSK*) for “Meet Greet Play Learn Grow” – a fun and engaging morning hosted at the beautiful Sakonnet Greenway Villa on Wednesday, September 11th, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for families, homeschool leaders, and outdoor education enthusiest to come together, enjoy a refreshing poolside experience, and share conversations about outdoor learning, nature play, and alternative education with the OSK Community.
The joys of the morning include:
- Meet and Greet: Get to know those making an impact in the homeschool and outdoor education community, and existing OSK members who are passionate about outdoor learning + nature play.
- Play: Families will be able to enjoy a morning swim in the heated pool. Liability waiver must be signed. There will be additional activities for any non-swimmers.
- Learn: Learn more about the OSK outdoor learning and nature play programs, and a preview of the development of our full year curriculum.
- Grow: All proceeds from this event will directly support the writing & development of an extensive outdoor learning curriculum for children.
This is a fundraising event, and for just $10 per person, you will have the opportunity to meet our passionate community of families, splash with your children in the pool, tour the beautiful Sakonnet Greenway Villa, and extend support to OSK. In return, we will extend our commitment to protecting childhood at all costs — meeting children’s needs without imposing rules, assessments, or societal pressures. We aim to equip parents with the tools and resources to consciously connect with their families, and lastly, we like to provide a space for a child’s natural sense of wonder and curiosity to flourish.

Location: Sakonnet Greenway Villa. We will send out the address a week before the event. The property is located in Middletown, Rhode Island - and would like to respect homeowner privacy until we are closer to the event date.

Participant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and any affiliated parties of Meet Greet Play Learn Grow (hosted by Ocean State Kids & The Sakonnet Greenway Villa) from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with Participant's participation in the event. Participant further acknowledges and agrees to be solely responsible for their own safety, the safety of their children, and their property during the event, and to comply with all event rules and regulations. Additionally, Participant agrees to be liable for any damage caused to the venue or its facilities by themselves, their children, or their property during the event. By submitting payment, Participant confirms their understanding of and voluntary agreement to these terms. Additionally, by registering for Meet Greet Play Learn Grow (hosted by Ocean State Kids & The Sakonnet Greenway Villa), you consent to the use of any photos or media captured during the program for promotional and educational purposes. These may be used in our marketing materials, social media, and website to showcase our activities and engage our community. If you have any concerns or wish to opt out, please contact us prior to the event, and we will acknowledge your family privacy.
