LIVESTREAM Shifting Pieces - visual art meets dance

'Shifting Pieces' at Phaeton Gallery is a multidisciplinary performance by ORH Dance featuring kinetic paper sculptures by mixed-media and installation artist Audrey Knabe. Enjoy an evening of new choreographed works by ORH Dance, Charlottesville's modern dance company. The new works will be performed by ORH company dancers in response and collaboration with Audrey Knabe's paper sculptures, which were created in response to the rhythm of music. Local musician and songwriter gospel_gamers will play for select pieces. This collaborative project showcases dance, visual art, and music in conversation with one another, with an exploration in lighting, shadows, and the movement of the dancers interplaying with the movement of the sculptures.
