About this event

This September 3-5, 2026, 8:00pm at the Dougherty Arts Center, Early Era Collective premieres “Present Perspective Project.” Featuring work by long-time Early Era Artists Daniel Broxton and Jairus Carr, this dance production explores post-modern and street style fusion choreography that illustrates a journey from past to present. Our collaborative evening-length show interweaves a narrative about living, witnessing, and actively participating in the human experience through multiple sides of the story.

Daniel and Jairus bring their different choreographic perspectives to encompass oddball ironic anxiousness and emotionally charged, intricate motion. Picture floppy, comedic movement, genuineness planted in absurdity, breath and recovery, deconstruction to reconstruction, and let’s not forget Important Poses. Join us at the theater and add your perspective to the mix!
