About this event
What do Mozart, Chopin, Gershwin and Radiohead have in common? Their music is among the many that have been covered by other composers throughout history. While you might associate 'covers' with popular mainstream music, composers have been paying tribute to one another for hundreds of years in the form of transcriptions, variations and hommages. Join pianist Renée Huynh at West Plains United Church in Burlington for an evening of piano covers that span more than 300 years.
Program highlights:
Music by Radiohead, arranged by Christopher O'Riley
Lacrymosa by Mozart, transcribed by Franz Liszt
Selections from "Tombeau de Couperin" by Maurice Ravel
12 Variations on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
... and much more
