Lake and River Health: Education in the Name of Action
Thursday, September 24, 2026 | Golden Mast Inn | Okauchee Lake
Join us for Lake and River Health: Education in the Name of Action, a day dedicated to protecting and preserving the waters that sustain our communities. This conference will bring together lake leaders, experts, community members, and officials to explore practical solutions for improving the health of our lakes and rivers. We will feature four pillars of lake health. Each pillar track will run simultaneously with options for attendees to choose within each pillar track. Bring mulitple people from your group so that all the speakers and sessions will be heard!
We are honored to welcome Dr. Mila Marshall of the Illinois Sierra Club as our keynote speaker. Dr. Marshall will share her expertise and insights on the actions we can take—both individually and collectively—to bring together the right people to protect our freshwater resources for future generations.
Whether you're a lake resident, volunteer, local leader, or simply passionate about clean water, you'll leave inspired and equipped with knowledge you can put into action. Join us on the shores of beautiful Okauchee Lake for a day of learning, collaboration, and meaningful impact. The day will end with an optional pontoon boat ride of Okauchee Lake (limited seating, tour to leave after conference is completed).
