Revealing the Sacred Feminine and Reclaiming Her Power in a Patriarchal Age
About this event
Join us on Saturday, May 11 for a day with Laura Collins in Pisgah National Forest at the Cradle of Forestry. Our goal will be to slow down long enough to observe, listen, meditate, journal, and soak in the loving energy of the rocks, trees, plants and air. Our eco-spirituality day retreat will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. We will break for a catered lunch. The price is $59 per person including lunch.
The healing properties of the Blue Ridge Mountains, some of the oldest and most bio-diverse mountains on earth, have been appreciated by a variety of spiritual communities for hundreds of years. The Eastern Band of Cherokee continue to hold healing rituals on their sacred ancestral lands in the area. George Vanderbilt chose these mountains to build his home, the Biltmore Estate, after bringing his mother here for the healing air. A wide variety of religious groups – including Christians, Hindus, and Buddhists – have chosen these mountains for their retreat centers.
Laura Collins is a retreat leader, spiritual companion, and CSW Associate based in Asheville. She has walked these Blue Ridge Mountains her entire life and has lived in them full-time for the past 18 years. As much as she loves many other beautiful places around the world, these mountains are the place where she finds the most consistent healing and connection. Find out more about Laura at her website.
