Lizeth Garcia Salsa on2: Beginner

Join Albuquerque's own Lizeth Garcia for an introduction to salsa on2. Lizeth Garcia began her dance training as a child in Chihuahua, Mexico, where she grew up. She moved to El Paso in 2001 to pursue a career as a dancer. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at El Paso as she majored in Dance Performance. She then completed the Teaching Artist training at the National Dance Institute in New York City in 2010. During this time she has had the opportunity to train with Alien Ramirez, Liz Lira, Eddie Torres, Karel Flores,and Yamulee Dance Company. In 2014 she joined National Dance Institute of New Mexico where she has had the opportunity to teach dance to children in New Mexico. Since its inception in 2018 Liz is has been director of Enigma Dance Project. Enigma is a dance company specializing in Ladies Styling. Enigma’s goal is to perform at as many Salsa/Latin dance events as possible, all while representing the rich Albuquerque Dance Community

This class is for the absolute beginning salsa on2 dancer. It is an appropriate class for salseros who primarily dance  LA style on 1 or Cuban Casino. This

class is also appropriate for anybody who has never taken a salsa class in their lives and want to delve into dancing. 

Schedule:

Saturday November 2, 2019: 11:00-12:00 

Sunday November 3, 2019: 12:00-1:00

Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to your class with dance shoes and a water bottle.
