Annie the Musical

Annie is the Tony Award winning, classic musical set in 1930s New York City, following the optimistic, red-headed orphan Annie as she escapes a cruel orphanage run by Miss Hannigan, navigates adventures in the city, and finds a new, loving family with billionaire Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, all while holding onto hope for a better tomorrow with memorable songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life”.  Deertrees is proud to honor our history by bringing you this timeless musical composed by Charles Strouse, who performed at Deertrees twenty years ago!  In 1977, Strouse adapted the popular comic strip for the stage, creating the hit Annie, which included the song “Tomorrow,” which quickly became a “monstrous song hit,” and garnered him his third Tony Award and two Grammy Awards!  bring the entire family for this special show!   Directed by Hannah-Jo Weisberg with Music Direction by Mary Bastoni.
