About this event

Violin duo Miolina brings another special concert to The Skyscraper Museum! Inspired by our current exhibition, “The Invention of Park Avenue,” Lynn Bechtold and Mioi Takeda will perform a mix of classical favorites and contemporary works. Just as Park Avenue has evolved over generations, the music in this concert highlights how creative ideas are built, adapted, and reimagined. Designed for children of all ages, the program blends performance with conversation in an engaging and accessible way. At the end of the concert, audience members will have the chance to see a violin up close and even try playing a few notes themselves.

This program will take place in the new Pavilion Classroom at Wagner Park! Directly across the street from the Museum and reimagined as part of the South Battery Park City Resiliency Project, the classroom features iconic views of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty—a perfect place to enjoy a morning of enchanting music.

This concert is funded, in-part, with support from NYSCA.

This is an in-person children’s program that meets at the Skyscraper Museum, 39 Battery Pl.

You must reserve a place for your child/family by clicking the “RSVP” button above. This will forward you to Ticketstripe for registration. After registering, you will receive emails to confirm your attendance through a Google Form (you only need to fill this out once). If you do not confirm attendance by the Friday morning before the program, your places will be canceled. Every child should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
