About this event

Blo-No Comedy and Palma Entertainment are excited to bring live stand-up comedy back to Bloomington/Normal on a monthly basis.

We are so happy to announce that Reena Calm will be headlining our premier show at The Station Saloon Comedy Showcase

Headliner Reena Calm

Reena Calm is an East Coast Jew turned Chicago favorite, and one of the most respected and requested comedians in the Midwest. Pulling from a lifetime of questionable choices, Reena’s material is autobiographical, silly, and charmingly inappropriate. Reena is a featured regular at the Laugh Factory and performs all over the country. She loves a good fest! Some of the best were Accidental Comedy Festival, Birmingham Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Let’s Fest, Burning Bridges Festival, Turnbuckle Fest(HL), The Comedy Exposition, Flyover Comedy Invasion(HL), MMJ Festival (HL), Limestone Comedy Festival, RiOT LA, Gilda’s LaughFest - Best of the Midwest, and Just For Laughs Chicago. She has opened for Arsenio Hall, Laurie Kilmartin, and Eddie Pepitone to name a few. Reena has been a frequent guest on WGN and WBEZ radio and recently made her television debut on WCIU’s One Night Stand Up. She was named Comic of The Week on The Jackie & Laurie Show, she’s been called “also terrific” by the Chicago Tribune, and “not a disappointment” by her mother. Reena will be just completing her 15 state "Calmedy Tour" and making a special stop here in Bloomington. Check out her newly published book "Once A Pun A Time...Legend of A Sighs Queen" which can be bought on Amazon and will be sold at The Station Saloon Comedy Showcase.

Featured Comedian Luke Swanson

Luke Swanson is an affable storyteller and seasoned comedian. You’ll hear about old friends and junk cars and all the jobs before comedy. Always in travel mode he’s spent years working in comedy clubs across the country and sharpening his life. Luke has been featured at EPIC Fest in Chicago, Turnbuckle Comedy and Music Festival at Codfish Hollow, and GAS Feed and Seed Festival in Davenport, Iowa.

2nd Featured Comedian Meredith Hopping

Meredith Hopping took her first step (big step, she's 6 ft tall and wears a size 13 shoe) into comedy a little over a year ago.Once she got that first laugh at her first open mic, she was hooked. She has found the St. Louis comedy scene to be encouraging and welcoming, providing many opportunities to hone her newfound passion through various Indie shows and club showcases. A semifinalist at the Jukebox Comedy Club, Hey Guys, and St. Louis Funnybone competitions, she is a comedian at night, mother of three by day, and the granddaughter, daughter, and wife of Pastors (everyday, not just on Sundays).Add to this a childhood and adolescence filled with the awkwardness and angst one experiences while growing up in Normal, Illinois and she finds limitless material for the audience to laugh along and commiserate with.
